[EP 055] Quality of life in patients after pancreas transplantation: A literature of review

Background : Prankeas transplant is very useful for patients suffering from diabetes mellitus with or without end-stage kidney disease. However, control is needed after pancreatic transplantation by looking at the patient's quality of life, whether it is getting better or worse. this study at reviews analyze various of the quality of life of patients Pancreas Transplantation.

Methods : Articles were selected based on the articles which published which using ,ShortForm-36(SF-36)Health Survey. There are eight indicators in terms of quality of life (vitality, physical functioning, bodily pain, global health perceptions, physical role functioning, social role functioning, and mental health) in this Questionnaire. Author is calculated the function of quality of life for patients pancreas transplantation.

Results : Based on all analysis, The results showed the quality of life of patients have improved after transplantation Pancreas. The physical functioning, mental health,, role and social function improved after transplantation. Indicator of financial difficulties also showed decrease after transplantation. The cognitive initially improved but later showed a decline.

Conclusions : It's good to have pancreatic transplantation, especially people with diabetes and kidneys together. It is make the physical, emotional, role and social functions better. So it is necessary to do transplantation for the patient. Besides that, it is necessary to provide more money or take care of health insurance so that it is usually not too expensive and of course it will have a good impact on the patient's psychological condition, patients can focus on healing not on costs.
