The current recommendation is to perform re-resection for selected patients with postoperatively diagnosed gallbladder cancer (GBC). Application of laparoscopic surgery for this purpose has been attempted by experts. Laparoscopic reoperation for GBC, unlike initial laparoscopic surgery, does not have the risk of tumor seeding related to bile spillage for GBC because cholecystectomy has already been performed. However, there is concerns about inadequate oncologic resection due to technical difficulty resulting from inflammatory adhesion or fibrosis around the hepatoduodenal ligament and gallbladder bed. This video presentation describes our therapeutic approach and technique for laparoscopic reoperation of postoperatively diagnosed GBC.
