As recent graduate from surgical training in Saudi Arabia, I had to pursue further subspecializing and training in the field of HPB surgery. After thorough search and evaluation, I took the decision to do my subspecializing in ASAN medical center in Seoul, Korea. The challenges I met as a middle-eastern/North American based medical training and back ground vs the Korean health care system and approach was remarkable to change my attitude, knowledge and experience. Here I present to you the impact of Korean training on me as an HPB surgeon in Saudi Arabia.
